Please consider before choosing a solar company:

1. Where are the panels manufactured?
There are many companies in many countries, all with different standards and materials. So make sure you research this and decided what is most important to you.

2. Will they help you claim your REC’s?
Think about if you want to claim these yourself or give them to the solar company in exchange for an upfront discount.

3. Do they Provide warranties on the panels and inverter?
These should at least be the standard of 20 years on panel energy and 10 years on inverter and panel manufacture

4. Are they Clean Energy Council accredited?
The Clean Energy Council (CEC) allows companies to be members and also accredits electricians (BCSC)

5. Will they help you chose the right system?
Make sure they will come to your home as every house is different and so are your solar needs and ability to produce solar power.
